Co-Invest in Women Led Climate Ventures
The Table is a community of investors at the intersection of Climate and Diversity, focused on increasing the amount and frequency of investment into climate ventures where there is at least one woman on the co-founding team.
Funding rounds are taking too long, it takes founders months to close their rounds. Yes, we all end up seeing these companies but the founders have spent months fundraising instead of growing the business. The Table enables investors and founders to close funding rounds smarter, faster and bolder through convening diverse and global networks along the early stage ecosystem.
Together we will increase funding into women-led ventures that will contribute to climate positive solutions across sectors.
How does it work?
1
Early stage equity investors (angel syndicates, investor groups and early stage funds) join The Table as Members.
2
Members bring to The Table eligible deals they have decided to invest in (pre-seed/seed stage ventures who focus on climate solutions with at least one co-founder who identifies as a woman).
3
Deals will be shared with all Members of The Table; each Member conducts their own DD. Members that want to collaborate are more than welcome to do so.
4
Partner VCs are later stage funds who provide feedback to Members on potential and suggested milestones which are also shared with Founders to help build their growth road map.
5
The Table will ask Members to share their decisions to DD and/or invest as well as levels of investment.

Partner VCs
We all know that the early stage is just the first step of a very long journey. Are you an investor in a fund investing in A, B, C or growth rounds?
You can support women led climate ventures and increase diversity in your pipeline by reviewing their decks to provide important feedback regarding their initial growth steps.
Help climate founders build an aligned roadmap to later funds’ expectations.
You decide the extent of your time commitment.
The Table is a community with no commercial benefit. Our sole focus is to increase co-investment collaboration in women-led, and women co-led, climate ventures.
Who we are
Julie Blane
I work in the intersectionality of venture capital and impact as both an ESG Advisor for fund managers and as an Angel Investor.
I am active in climate tech networks convening, sourcing and collaborating with early stage investors. As an angel investor I am sector agnostic and climate-positive; I favour women-led and mixed teams to increase gender balance and investment opportunities.
My approach to venture capital bridges a mindset that investment returns are aligned with outcomes, which has been shaped by my early career within the philanthropy and NGO sectors in the US, Israel, UK and Europe.
Carmel Rafaeli
I support early stage climate ventures as an advisor, mentor and Angel Investor. I work with and invest in climate tech startups across sectors - from SaaS, through materials to hardware and robotics.
I have been an entrepreneur for most of my career: 15+ years bringing innovations to life in a variety of products and platforms in tech and non tech sectors ranging from brick and mortar fashion to hospitality tech and IP tech. Focusing on climate and sustainability for the past 5 years.
My passion is to help accelerate sustainable innovation by creating better connections between innovators, corporates and investors.
Sthembile Nkabinde
I am a Chartered Accountant with 15 years of experience in finance and investment banking. I founded a private equity entity investing in mid-market businesses where I realised the lack of women-led and impact-driven businesses. I decided to focus on supporting start-ups led by women and minorities, aiming to drive change in the investing landscape I now invest in and support these ventures. I'm also actively involved in the start-up ecosystem, including serving on committees like the Harvard Business School Angels of the UK, advocating for more funding for women-led and socially impactful businesses.
Illai Gescheit
I am a serial entrepreneur, board advisor, and investor with a focus on artificial intelligence and climate technologies. I founded Mindset & Planet and serve on the boards of venture funds like The Atlas Capital and Barka Fund. Formerly a Venture Partner at Siemens Energy Ventures and Entrepreneur-in-Residence at BP, I built new units focused on decarbonization and climate tech. I hold over 20 patents and was featured in the Harvard-MIT book Entrepreneurial Negotiation. I am a member of the Ashoka Entrepreneur-to-Entrepreneur Network, the World Economic Forum Expert Network, and a Guest Lecturer at London Business School.
Mea Lewis
I am the Managing Director at Columna Capital, a London-based private equity firm, where I focus on business development, portfolio management, and investment strategy. I also serve as a Senior Strategic Development Advisor to the Datamars Sustainability Foundation, which promotes regenerative agriculture. With over a decade of experience in global asset management, I am an angel investor and mentor in climate and sustainability sectors.
